Small Restaurant General Manager
Chief of Staff is working with a local company to identify their next General Manager! They are re-vamping a restaurant and are looking for an experienced leader to take over day-to-day operations.
Key
Responsibilities:

Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train restaurant staff, including servers and hosts.
- Create and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage of all shifts.
- Provide strong leadership and supervision to the restaurant team.

Operational Excellence:
- Streamline restaurant processes to enhance the guest experience.
- Monitor restaurant finances, including sales, expenses, and budgets.
- Enforce food handling regulations and safety guidelines to ensure guest well-being.
- Handle customer complaints effectively and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
3.
Business Development:
- Promote the restaurant through marketing, advertising, and community programs to attract new customers.
- Develop and implement business plans to meet financial objectives.
- Control purchasing and inventory by working closely with account managers.
4.
Standard Procedures and Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce policies and standard operating procedures to maintain consistent quality and productivity.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate food and beverage service offerings to ensure customer satisfaction.
5.
Human Resource Management:
- Recruit, select, orient, and train restaurant and bar staff.
- Foster a positive work environment and ensure staff adherence to company policies.
6.
Safety and Sanitation:
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility by enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in the restaurant industry to ensure industry best practices.
7.
Ownership and Goal Achievement:
- Accept responsibility for accomplishing new and different requests in alignment with company goals.
